Care & Cleaning

Washing

The manufacturer states it is machine washable. Use a cool gentle cycle with a mild detergent and wash it on its own, a wet plush mat is heavy and it will not clean properly crowded in with a load.

Skip the softener

It coats plush fibres and flattens the pile permanently. A tennis ball in the drum does more good.

Drying

Air dry flat. Heat is what turns long plush into a matted sheet.

Bringing the pile back

Once dry, brush it out with your hand or a soft brush against the lie of the pile.

Between washes

Lint roller or a rubber glove. Shag and faux fur shed dust more than they hold it.
