The ball turns as they lick, re-coating itself from the 210 ml well underneath. That is what stretches a spoonful of something soft into a long, absorbed session instead of a single swallow.

Why It Works

A gulp becomes a slow lick.

The ball sits in the top of the bowl and turns as your dog licks across it, bringing up a little of whatever is underneath with each pass.

  • Rolling ball encourages licking rather than gulping
  • Well-style shape keeps the liquid in the lower center
  • Non-slip base helps it stay put on smooth floors
  • Holds about 7.1 fl oz (210 ml)
  • Molded ABS, easy to rinse out
  • Blue with a white ball, or black with an orange ball

Every point above comes from this product's own specification.

How to Use

How to use it.

1

Fill the well

Pour something soft into the 210 ml well beneath the ball: broth, yoghurt, thinned wet food. The ball sits in it and picks it up.

2

Let them work at it

The ball turns as they lick and re-coats itself from below. The anti-slip base keeps the bowl where you put it.

3

Lift the ball out

Take the ball out and rinse both parts. If it stops rolling freely there is dried food in the seat. Soak it rather than forcing it.

Care & Cleaning

How to keep it in good order, as the manufacturer states it.

After every use

Lift the ball out and rinse both parts. Liquid food dries into the gap around the ball faster than anywhere else on the bowl.

Washing

Warm soapy water and a brush. Rinse the ball separately so the well underneath it gets cleaned too.

Drying

Dry the ball and the well before reassembling, or it will stick rather than roll.

Check the roll

If the ball stops turning freely, there is dried food in the seat. Soak it for a few minutes rather than forcing it.
